Case 1

This patient was unhappy with her little teeth and gummy smile. She had a condition know as Altered Passive Eruption, which results in gums that hide otherwise healthy beautiful teeth. It is easy to correct with a fast, painless laser technique. The excessive gum tissue is removed with a laser to expose the natural teeth underneath. Because its done with a laser, the healing is fast, painless, and no bleeding. No other treatment was performed on her teeth, and she now has a beautiful full smile that will last a lifetime.

Case 2

This patient came to our office with concerns about her upper front teeth and she did not like her smile because of how they looked. They seemed to be growing down and were becoming loose. She also didn’t like the “gummy smile” that she had. She had previous dental work that was reinfected and the teeth were not able to be saved.

Her upper two front teeth were removed and a “gum lift” was performed to reduce the “gummy smile”. Her healthy teeth were used to support a bridge that replaced her front teeth. With careful planning and manipulation of the gums during healing we created a beautiful, natural looking smile that fits her face. Her bridge is a metal free, permanent restoration that give full function and optimal aesthetics.

Case 3

This patient was unhappy with the gaps between her teeth and how uneven they were. She also had some old yellowing bonding between the teeth. Over the years her teeth had shifted and the old bonding had become discolored. She wanted a rejuvenated smile like the one she had 20 years ago but didn’t want anything too flashy or unnatural.

Maintaining tooth size proportions is critical for a natural look. Simply placing veneers to close the spaces and make the teeth white would result in “big white teeth”, and a very unnatural smile. Instead, we used clear aligners to straighten and close the spaces, achieving the proper dimensions for natural teeth. After the teeth were in the correct position, we replaced her discolored bonding with new high aesthetic bonding for a natural look. The artful placement of the correct color combination blends the bonding perfectly with the natural teeth. This treatment is more economical and longer lasting than “big white teeth” and achieves a perfectly natural smile.

When improving a smile it is essential that all aspects of aesthetics are considered. Tooth color and alignment are important, but shape, size, lip contour, gum display, and many other factors all have to be considered for a beautiful natural looking smile.

Case 1

This patient came to our office with difficulty chewing due to loose teeth and pain associated with those teeth. She had suffered from gum disease for a long time and it had taken its toll on her teeth. She also was embarrassed to smile because of her significant under bite which caused her lower teeth to protrude unnaturally.

Her upper and lower jaw were treated by placing implants in optimal positions to hold a permanent set of teeth. Her initially treatment was completed in one day, while she was sedated and sleeping comfortably through the procedure. Her teeth are made out of Zirconia, a material that is stain and fracture resistant.

We were able to correct her bite and establish an amazing and functional smile. She now smiles with confidence, and as a renowned baker, enjoys her recipes pain free.

Case 2

Our patient had spent years trying to maintain his teeth and was wearing a partial denture to replace his missing teeth. The supporting teeth were finally going bad and the patient needed a full denture. Regular dentures can have limited function and require denture adhesives to help stay in place. The bulk and coverage of a denture can reduce the taste and enjoyment of food.

For this patient, four implants were placed in the top jaw and two implants were placed on the bottom jaw. His dentures were made to “snap” onto the implants for improved support and to eliminate the need for messy adhesives. The dentures can also be made smaller so taste and feel is improved when eating. This is an economical way to replace missing teeth and be confident that your teeth will always stay in place while eating, speaking, and enjoying other activities.

Case 3

This patient came to our office with concerns about his failing teeth. He felt his teeth were holding him back. He had made some positive changes in his life and wanted his teeth to reflect his new life.

Due to cavities and gum disease his teeth could not be saved. His upper and lower teeth were removed and replaced with 4 implants. His new teeth were created on the same day and the patient was able to return to work and social activities two days after the procedure. Now he enjoys the confidence and comfort of having a smile that fits his new healthy lifestyle.
